Move HIIT is a high intensity group fitness class that will help you burn calories whilst having fun. We use exercises that help you improve your movement capacity and get a sweat on.
We use primal movement patterns to help you achieve greater ranges of motion with many joints in your body in a challenging but safe and fun way. At Empower Physiotherapy we use body weight, floor based movements (rolling, crawling, etc.) that allow clients to tolerate ranges of movement that may have caused pain/discomfort when in a standing position, carrying out everyday tasks.
This helps your body trust movement once again and move in a more energy efficient and effortles manner. Classes focus on a mobility warmup initially with sections on strength and strength endurance with mobility work once again in between. These classes are bodyweight only so provide you with movement patterns that you can do at home or on your travels. The grpahic below gives you a brief idea of how these classes work.
Classes take place at Anytime Fitness in Canonmills and are limited to 8 people per class. Move HIIT classes start at 6pm every Monday night in the Anytime studio.
Each class lasts between 50 – 60 minutes. Please bring water and a small towel.
Classes are free for Anytime Fitness members. They are also free for those wanting to try it for the first time, with a charge of £5 thereafter per class.
